Well, as the hurricane Katrina hit the lower gulf states with mighty force we all followed cnn.com
as she tore across and made her devastation… the worst is yet to come as the following flooding will be for sure a major issue to deal with.

I friend of mine called Jeremy has complete indepent wireless capabilities right from his home close to the city of New Orleans. Jeremy has 2 generators, and a satelitte connection and has been online with me throughout this catastrophy… His home is my disaster hotspot at the moment.

Jeremy has reported that locally there has been extreme flooding and alot of structural damage. He has expressed concern that many of the locals will have lost their lves through flying debris at 120 mph…. some of the higher story building have had all their windows blown out by flying shingles.

At one point when the eye of the storm hit, he had described the building at having a deathly griding sound as the wind whipped by with intense force. The initial impact of hurricane Katrina took most of the local power out within the first 2 hours and thats when his generators kicked in. Jeremy has also shared his home as shelter to a few local neighbors and residents as it is a solid brick building that was built over standard and high above flood threats.

The live hurricane webcam at Jeremy`s home is unfortunately been destroyed by flying debris… a replacement will soon be functional as soon as it is safe to go outdoors.

more to come as I receive word…
