The New York Post reported recently that New York City Parks Department has failed now for over 2 years to implement free wireless internet connection in all but two of the cities parks. The reason behind they say is a lack of understanding and beurocratic red tape… The contract was awarded over two years ago and it seems NYC free wireless connections will be on hold…Also, the article points out the difficulties in setting up a wireless network in Philidelphia parks system as well. The citywide wireless network has been offered for free but again it seems that political opposition and approval is slowing down the installation.
